Warbler Adventures: Positioned in a Peach Tree
Finding treasure in the backyard may seem unlikely, but whenever the opportunity arises to discover something special, I always reach for my camera to capture it. It took me a long time to realize that even the most ordinary things can be beautiful. Take, for example, the Myrtle Warbler—a seemingly common backyard bird. However, when perfectly positioned next to peach blossoms in spring, it becomes impossible to look away. How can one do anything but capture such a moment, preserving it forever?
This particular warbler is unique. Unlike more well-known species like the yellow warbler, it is recognized as its own subspecies within the scientific community. Warblers are typically vibrant, small, and cute. However, this specific type of warbler exhibits more gray and white patterns with flecks of yellow throughout.
What struck me the most was how much this warbler and I have in common. I often feel like I appear human, but I am my own kind of human—one that is gentle and soft. I am too tender for the civilization we have built, yet too human to be anything else. I find solace in the fact that I can see my own experiences reflected in the treasures I discover.
What makes you, your own kind of human?
